Ky-Mani Marley, one of the most well-known and wealthy Reggae Singers was born on February 26, 1976 in Falmouth Jamaica. He sang in Shottas along with another artist Wyclef. Ky-Mani was signed by Shang Records in 1996 where the album was released like Father Like Son. He also recorded several singles, including Judge Not with Patra and Dear Dad (which reached the highest position on the British Reggae Charts) and Who The Cap Fit Remix, and Sensimelia. The majority of them contributed to his growing popularity with the new generation of reggae musicians. Ky-Mani and Praswell from the Fugees were joined in 1997 to record Avenue the cover version of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue.
